Middle School Pool
Status Report
The
SOMS pool project was awarded to four prime contractors on 7/31/08.
Demolition work started on 8/4/08 soon after students were released
for summer session. Abatement began on 8/11/08 and was completed on
8/25/08. The demolition portion of the project is 90% complete.
The locker room floors, walls, mechanical units, duct work,
electrical and plumbing have all been removed and work is presently
underway on the pool tank and surrounding pool deck. The general
contractor has installed a temporary partition in the hallway near
the band room and has provided safety protection within the
construction site. The project is on schedule and within budget.
